Elaine's Story

Written by: Sherrie Stahl Posted on: February 23, 2022 Blog: Stories

I have been a volunteer at Cancer Services for about ten years. God put me here because He knew I needed to help others. I'm so proud to be associated with this wonderful organization and these dedicated people. Their whole purpose is to help people through their cancer journey. It's a great feeling to know that you can help, even in a small way. I drive patients to their appointments and treatments. I lost my husband to cancer twelve years ago and this is a way I can give back. To the greatest people to work with. God Bless. Elaine Cline

My cancer journey started with my dad he passed away in Jan. 2010 of cancer six months later my husband died of cancer and I was there caregiver. Well I thought I was done with cancer but I was wrong six months later I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and became one more patient for cancer services they were so kind to me and helped me so much , mentally and whatever else they could do. I told God this one was his cause I had had enough. I told my Dr. He had to cure me cause this girl ain't gonna die. Well here I am almost 10 years later and I love helping others as much as I can. As some of you know I'm the Fudge Lady and I have been raising money for Cancer Services for 9 years this is what I do to help . I pray I have helped just alittle but not as much as the staff that works there they are an awesome bunch. Thank you for giving your heart to people.
